Same for me. The interior is very nicely done, but i guess that there are hard plastics used, as in most american cars. On the other hand, the exterior looks very promising. I can't say it's beautiful, but i could live with it. I hope the future will bring an even better design..

Since the G8 is a rebadged Holden Commodore, I can say from my past experience with the Holden that the interior does use a lot of hard plastics, but the texture is plesent so it doesn't feel as cheap as expected. The interior build quality, fit and finish is still behind the Japanese but definitely much better than any American car.

The car does look pretty nice on the road, you just need to see it in the right colour. That red does the car no favours, but in this colour the car looks very nice. I reckon the original Holden version looks much better than the Pontiac version.

Re: Official Pontiac G8 Pictures

Thanks monster. This thing with the American and Australian cars is very interesting actually, at least to me that don't have any knowledge about these markets.

PS. This Holden Commodore (that i didn't know about its existance) is looking really nice!

I think it looks pretty good. I also like the little details like where they placed the handbrake. It'll be a big hit.

Since GM owns both Pontiac and Holden, it is logical for them to utilise its global resources for product development, and technology transfer between each brands (Ford should take note of this and learn). Holden is currently developing the rear wheel drive platform for the Camaro as well.

If you like the COmmodore, you should check out the HSV range of the Commodore. They are sold i UK as rebadged Vaxhall VRX i think.

Re: Official Pontiac G8 Pictures

Ah yes the Vauxhall VXR8.

-It's a Vauxhall that looks like a Chavved-up M5 with MX-5 tail lights. But it's got 6.0 V8 420 Bhp, 6-speed Manual RWD for 35K or if you are the sort of man who can't be bothered changing gears, the 6-speed Automatic is 40K.

That is a cool Vauxhall.
