You are right about if he would've pushed it. Honestly we really don't know at what level he had it set. For all we know we really can't tell what camera he was using. He, and I may have to say she as well because you never know, might have been using a digital slr!
So we can really not tell about what camera was being used.
The grainy part of the picture is very much expected in a picture taken in such conditions. This is something that I tried to point out earlier. If he would've had the assistance of ligting, which is done when pictures of BMW's, Audi, MB, etc. are being taken, he would have had a better picture. Then again who has a brightly lite white room to park an Audi A8 in and take pictures for our enjoyment? Exactly my point!
