Very true, but some designs can afford to stay around alot longer then others, and this my friend is one of those designs! I'd still take the S8 over the S63/65 AMG or any other four door saloon currently sold..

Small upgrades really bring this car up to the "last hoorah".

A8 might be "old" but AFAIC it still beats S class and 7 series hands down in terms of design , quality and sporty attitude.

Anyway, the car will easily sail through the next 2 years, it really hasn't aged much.

A8 is the Tyra Banks of luxury sedans , a bit aged but still better than the new kids on the block.

Yeah, I remember when the W221 was first launched, all the Benz-bozzos around here all said it made the A8 suddenly look real old -- what a total load of crap that was -- although it is pointless to argue with them .....poor things can't see past a certain badge.

As time goes on, it is the A8 which continues to outshine its flashier rivals when it comes to genuine good looks and classic good taste -- the A8 might not be technically the "best" but it sure looks the best imo.

Yannis, the A8 is better than that, she looks like a fish at times.

The S is the class leader, non on your double-talk can change that.

Others might go with the flow , i 'm not one of them.

That is indisputable in terms of refinement ...and technology (even if some of the tech is really more for show) ...but the A8 is a much more elegant car to look at both inside and out.

Well we know that. To you Audi leads in every class, no surprise there!
