To compensate for the extra weight it will need more torque not power. Ofcourse since HP can be seen as a multiple of torque (and viceversa), more of both will be fine.
Power [PS] = Torque [Nm] x Speed [1/min] / 7019
Torque [Nm] = 7019 x Power [PS] / Speed [1/min]
Both the M and Lambo V10s are torque wimps compared to AMGs V8.
But a Gallardo is a lot lighter. The M5/M6 seem to have, due to their engine + gearbox, fantastic high speed vigour. The ///M engine really starts to come alive at ~180 Km/h.
