Honestly, this is hotter than both E63AMG and M5 Wagons...at least right now. We'll see when this is released.

I`ve been reading a lot of rumers saying the new engine will feature twin turbos from it`s V10 to develope some 550hp! (some are saying 600hp!)

I`d be willing to bet on 550hp.. If Audi goes with 550hp the next generation Mercedes E63 will go nuts with power in the hp war!

I doubt it. They'll do the whole, equal power + less weight = a faster car thing.

I'd say 550 is a realistic number. Remember that you to scarifies turbolagg for power, especially if the competitors are using NA engines.

and rs6 is using quattro = heavier, Rs6 need more power than the competiton to be faster.

I know the RS6 will be using AWD, but the AWD systems in bimmers, Porsche's and audis isn't that heavy. Doesn't add more than 70-100kg. 550hp would in my opinion be a good figure.

Quattro adds weight on an already heavy car, period, and a RS6 with 510hp would have a hard time out accelerate a M5 or E63, thats why Rs6 needs more power to make it up for the quattro, also at high speeds Quattro hurts more than its useful for the acceleration.

I think so to. However, Ive also been reading some rumers reguarding the upcoming M157 Bi-Turbo V8 from AMG. Thay say it will be introduced sometime in 2009-10 with some 650hp, I don`t believe the 650hp, too much
that exceeds the S65.

why shouldnt this engine come? just becuase its getting 650hp doesnt mean it finds its way to E63. There are other Benz models out there .
