The 2.4 V6 in the A6 has much less power compared to for example BMW 525i. So is it going to be replaced soon? By the new 2.8 FSI, perhaps?

It's tinkeble that the 2.4 litre V6 will also get FSI and Valve-lift and can get 225 hp.

The new V6 2.8 lt FSI Valvelift will be coming soon. The 2.4 lt will probably be discontinued since the 2.0 TFSI makes up to 240 hp (the engine of the S3 is an upgaded sport oriented version of the 2.0 TFSI so essentially not the same engine).

Thanks for the Information! But that means (at least in Norway) the A6 2.4 will be very cheep second hand

Probably this Fall so i guess the A6 2.8 will be available early next year.

i don't think so. 4 cyl engines are not as smooth as V6 ones, so they'll be used widely only in A4, but not A6. probably there will not be a 220+hp 2.0 TFSI engine available for A6, so 2.4 (maybe with FSI and valvelift later) can stay in A6. btw, 2.4/2.8/3.2/3.6 V6 is complicated. i wonder why don't Audi make some more power from the current 2.4, but creates the 2.8

2.0T is one of the most popular engines in the A6.
Quicker than the 2.4 V6 and cheaper to own then the 2.4 V6.
