When Audi bought Lamborghini the company was almost dead , it didn't had the money, the engineers or the resources to compete with Ferrari and the rest. Gallardo and it's engine were made starting nearly from scratch using Audi know how and human resources.
BTW Audi is using an updated version of Gallardo's V10 in S6 with 5.2 lt displacement (instead of 5.0 lt) and direct fuel injection (FSI). |
People are always under estimating audi. I think the chances of the RS5 getting a V10 is good seeing as the car is nearly A6 sized, and audi like to be innovative and a V10 will allow for more smoother and linear power delivery seeing as a RS5 would have around 500hp.
