| I spy S5 -

Ok, so like I said I would, I drove out to AoA's Western Regional sales office since it's not at all far from where I live and would try to snap some pics of the S5 if it were still there. Well I pushed my luck....and fell on it... ..... O yeh, and you can see my dirty car in the fifth pic sitting next to the S5. - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER

Does the car look better in real life? The shape of the C-pillar and the waist line still doesn't do it for me. | | | | | Connoisseur

I thought it looked magnificent in person, much much better than in pics. It looks more aggressive and more assertive than the E92(IMHO), while the E92 looks plain elegant. Another interesting observation I made is that this car looks more GT than sports car, so when Audi states this car is a GT, that's exactly what they meant. In that sense it kind of reminds me of the CL, which is a very good thing. Now all they need to do is fix the fixed window at the C pillar and make it a pillar-less design.
Magma Red looks far far better IRL than in pics. The color is so intense, so rich, it doesn't photograph well. I'd never get red on a car I'm buying personally though, looks good. | | | | | The Following 2 Users Say Thank You to Deutsch For This Useful Post: | | | Super Moderator

Red is not my favorite color but still the S5 rocks.
S5 is my favorite Audi right now , ahead of S8 , R8 , RS4 and that says a lot. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to Yannis For This Useful Post: | | | Banned

If the pictures don't express how special this car is, in person I know you had to been | | | | | Expert

The A5 on the other hand looks a bit squat from the front which is considerably more lower than the rear.

I'm sure if there were maybe perhaps someone would have been cool enough to let met take a seat and snap a few interior shots. Who knows? The whole time I was looking at the car my heart was pounding, hard. One thing is for sure though, pictures you see floating around on the internet really don't do this car justice. None whatsoever. I agree w/ Luw that the high waistline and short rear deck work to this designs favor. I'd really like to see the A5, to tell what the differences are, though I believe it will be much the same since they're nearly identical despite a few trim pieces. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to Deutsch For This Useful Post: | | | Banned

It's the sickest car out right now imo, if it looks even better in person I don't think I'll be able to wait any longer on that deposit! | | | | | Enthusiast

Yup, the S5 looks alot better in real. I think its right to say its alot more aggressive looking than the E92, but I personally prefer the elegant lines of the E92.
It does look amazing though. The C pillar isnt as bad as I thought it would be. The detailing in the headlamps really stands out from far away, which i think looks great. They look styled, but the shape of the actual headlamp is still relatively simple. Keeps the car looking tidy. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
