That sounds like what happened in my case. I have a 2004 Audi A4 (B6). But i don't really care cause i 'm going straight from B6 to B8.

Yannis is right about the B7, it's not much different besides the suspension and the engines being shifted back a little. Most of it was aesthetic.

Another change within the next 2 years.

That's like stealing money from existing A4 owners, which bought their new A4 this year. If Audi is changing the model so often then it's at least not an option for me to think about Audi as my next car.

Well, w/ the B8 you're getting an all new car. The B7 was just a "facelift" to my understanding.

I hope so. I liked the B6, and like the B7, but I'd never actually buy a B7 just because it's only a 'facelift'. There were a lot of changes for a facelift, but IMO, not enough to call it a new model, much less actually give it a new series designation (B6 to B7).

I suppose that there's nothing "wrong" with your car just because a newer one came out, but it would be a bit galling when it's all about the latest and greatest for (car) fans.

Anyhow, that AMS chop looks quite good, from the small size pic. I'd be happy if anyone could get a larger pic or scan in.

You are right but the same has happened to 7 series owners since after the facelift it's like a different car. The only German company who keeps the cars the same for 6-7 years period is Mercedes right now.

yes, but a massive one. with the complete new grill and rear parts, the pre FL
is looking outdated. IMO the current A4 model policy is 'stealing money from current A4 owners'
