Interest in big 5dr hatches *** wagons is rising - therefore VAG has plans to introduce both - VW (Station) & Audi (Roadjet) - versions. Audi Roadjet was presented for a reason: also W. da Silva said concept cars are too expensive to be made just for showing off. They are there to showcase future design & technology. I wouldn't exclude possible bigger vehicle - based on A6 or even A8 (there were even rumours about Audi is bringing A8 Sportback).

Also BMW are working on their interpretations: bigger Luxury Sport Cruiser (V5), and smaller Coupe Space Tourer (V3).

If the Roadjet is 99% accurate that can only mean:

a) A4 sedan & Avant will look similar to Roadjet and not to Huckfeld's CGI,
b) Roadjet will not be marketed as A4 Sportback but as a separate line, or
c) Audi is finally going to differ the design elements for different cars.



Btw, those Huckfeldt's A4 CGIs looks moch more like next gen of A6.

This big 5door hatchback, doesn't sound good to me. Maybe it's because i live in Greece and such ideas don't work here. Or it's because i find the whole idea pointless.

If you buy a car of this price range, then why choose hatchbatck. That's why i don't get this desing idea. If you see, the most hatchbacks, if not all, are middle or small family cars and this is because they have to be small.

Because the facelift on the current A4 was quite radical I believe the next generation A4 will look much different than what these chops suggest. For example I don't think the shape of the front lights will remain the same. We will propably see a revolution in the design rather than just an evolution.

It's the axact opposite. We have an revolution followed by an evolution and not another revolution.

For example B5 Audi A4 was a revolution of design, then B6 an evolution and then B7 a revolution. B8 will be an evolution of B7 (apart from the much shorter front overhang of course).

I believe those are Michelin Pax tires especially designed for Roadjet.
