Audi is adding another attractive version to its A4 Avant range. The 2.0 TFSI S line plus is to receive a 162 kW (220 bhp) petrol direct injection unit with turbocharger. An array of extras round off the offer.

These include the perforated brake discs and the matt black tailpipes. The A4 Avant is fitted with 17-inch wheels of 5-spoke design. The S line sports suspension is also part of the standard specification. The S line from quattro GmbH adds attractive visual touches, for example with the S line logo on the radiator grille, the rear side rubbing strips, the front seats and the steering wheel. The sports seats feature an electric lumbar support. The side sections and head restraints are in black leather, matching the colour of the carpet, instrument panel and headlining. The S line leather-covered sports steering wheel with colour-contrasting stitching is part of the standard specification, as is the gear knob in perforated leather and the handbrake grip in leather. Matt brushed aluminium inlays round off the car’s sporty look.

The 2.0 TFSI with 162 kW (220 bhp) accelerates the A4 Avant up to 241 km/h. The A4 requires 7.4 seconds (quattro: 7.1 seconds) to reach 100 km/h from a standing start. Its fuel consumption is 8.1 litres per 100 kilometres. Audi is offering the A4 Avant 2.0 TFSI S line plus for 36,200 euros; the quattro costs 2,300 euros more.
