Thanks for this info. Does hk translate to PS or hp? Also, any indication of how much (%) cheaper the B8 S4 will be? This car is beginning to sound quite good if these details are true.

I am considering the B8 S4 for my next car, to be purchased later this year. The final decision will come down to the price vs performance difference between the E90 M3 with DCT, the B8 S4 and the facelifted E90 335i. So far I have test-driven the E92 M3 (£55K in the UK with EDC and 19s) and the E90 335i Sport (£35K). If the B8 S4 can come in below the B7 S4 Tiptronic price of £39K, I think it will be the best value for money of these 3.

3.0 V6 TFSI with 333 hp sounds good even if it's a bit less than what B7 S4 had (344 hp). With S-tronic I'm sure it will be faster than it's V8 predecessor.

Could be with the facelift but that could seem like they're admitting S5 with a V8 was a mistake. Maybe they want to keep the A5 above the A4.

The S5 with V8 wasn't a mistake. Things in the auto industry can shift quickly and sometimes manufacturers have no choice but to adapt to the competition. That is exactly what Audi is going to to with the S4, offer something directly comparable to the 335i.

Sorry for the confusing post. What I meant was that if they put the V6 TFSI in the facelifted S5 it could be seen as a signal implying that Audi is admitting that putting a V8 in the S5 was a mistake. I don't personally think it was a mistake.

Nontheless I'm looking forward to see the S4. Having seen the S5 and TTS the A4 will be a stunner and will in terms of design have an edge over the 335i and C350.
