there are many engines that works but aren't used today.
Audi has the knowledge to improve their engines, they are just playing safe or they are stingy.

Because of the long gear ratios and the weight The TDi's will be great IMO, flexibility and weak fuel consumption.

Isn't this the new 1.8TFSI - which is essentially a smaller block of the 2.0TFSI? I don't think the old 5V 1.8T is used in the new A4 anymore.

Yap, this is the smaller version of the 2.0 TFSi. 5V 1.8T is too old for this new model

Tired of the 1.8 TFSI? But it'a an all new engine based on the multiple award wineer 2.0 TFSI!

It's not the old 5 cylinder 1.8 Turbo that was used in the B7 A4 you know.
