The flipside is distinctly chunky ride quality, especially on the bigger wheels and firmer suspension that comes with S-Line trim. Road noise is on the high side, too - and cruising at typical British motorway speeds produces a surprising amount of wind noise from the top of the windscreen and windows. That doesn't sound good. The A5 TDI is said to be distincly noisier than the 330cd also. |

The test seems very positive to me. Of course if you put big 235/50R18 tires to any car in this class (not just the A4) then you will have running noise. On the other hand i would prefer a bit of running noise to the unbelievably small runflat tires 3 series uses. Even 320i has 205/55R16 tires as standard! I would wait to see more tests if i were you. |
