Bless you monster, I was about to lose my mind. Right, so this clarifies it then. All engines are longitudinally mounted and yet they still manage to achieve such a short front overhang. Tremendous feat Audi.
So, over time 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder A4's will be offered with Audi's latest version of quattro where the front differential is located ahead of the clutch.
a. I wonder what implications this has for S-Tronic (nee DSG)
b. I'm surprised that they went this complex route - let's call it "going to all the trouble" for FWD models.
