The B5 A4 was simply revolutionary when it came out. You have to remember that when it launched in '95 there was nothing like it on the market, it completely transformed Audi's image, and was the first Audi car to challenge the 3 series. This is the car that made Audi the success story that they are today.
The B6 was a good looking car, but Audi had really ruined it with the half colour coded bumpers and lack of luxuries. B7 was essentially the same as B6.
B8 looks interesting enough in the right colour and as a 3.2 but I'm still unconvinced about the lesser models, which will no doubt be more important to Audi as they will sell lots more 1.8T's than 3.2.
I will wait keenly on the 3.2T which is said to have different trim inside and beefier styling including larger wheelarches (like old S3 and A6 4.2).
