anyways its sad..that the production will end.. but i guess this is what you get when you release the top dog version when the base car is near the end of its life.. | |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: End of the line for the RS4 saloon? Seems a shame Audi has made such a great car as the RS4, and then stop making it this quickly. I like the way RS models are so exclusive, but don't think they should end production now! Also, it seems weird that they would end production of the sedan, but not the cab or avant! |

Of course when production of regular model ends also the production of performance model is ceased. Performance model (eg. RS4) can't be made without donor body, interior etc of regular model. Being that RS / S, AMG, or M. So, it's normal Audi will end RS4 production later this year! RS6 has nothing to do with that ... ![]() PS: avant and cabrio will continue to be produced for a further next months untill new A4 avant & A5 cabrio are introduced. So as an aftermath RS4 avant & cabrio will still be produced as well. |

Now the RS4 will bow out on top, without ever having to compare to the newer models coming from M and AMG.....brilliant move Audi. ![]() |

![]() | Re: End of the line for the RS4 saloon? I also believe they are only stopping production until after the new A4 is released. The future RS4 will even handle better with the engine mounted further back in the engine bay. This will help it compete better with the new M3. IMO the RS4 is too porky. Maybe they will be able to shed some weight with fewer standard options and lighter but more expensive materials. |
