| Re: Audi S3 Cabrio: Spotted in Ingolstadt! Some people here in the UK are claiming that this is just a fake, i.e. an A3 Cab with all the S3 bits stuck on. If it is then it's a very convincing one as the dials, brakes etc. all look genuine (more pictures here: Translation result for http://www.audiblog.nl/?p=4739). Also it's been said that Audi have already stated that they cannot get the Haldex system into the A3 Cab, so therefore no quattro = no S3. What are people's thoughts on this? I see no reason why quattro can't be incorporated into the A3 Cab in view of the fact that the TT Roadster is available with it and (as far as I know) the two cars share the same platform.

The A4 Cabriolet is being discontinued this month and will be replaced by the convertible version of the A5 - there will be no B8 A4 Cabriolet. The A5 will be too expensive and/or too large for some, and if something more practical than a TT Roadster is required then the A3 Cabriolet fits the bill perfectly. Also, BMW make that ghastly  Cabriolet so Audi have to be competitive in the sector. It is already selling well here in the UK despite the economic downturn (and the crap weather!)

| Re: Audi S3 Cabrio: Spotted in Ingolstadt! I'm not hooked on the A3 and not the Convertible version either. I've seen a few and funny is that the car looks better on photos than IRL. A Audi A3 Convertible isn't a car for me but I'm sure the chicks is going to love it. And if I somehow should start to like the A3, I rather be driving a S3 with a proper roof.
