I'm always confused by people who only seem obsessed with other people noticing them... shouldn't it be enough if you like the looks of the car you're driving?

I like the looks of the S3 in the same way I like my S-line, yet I would have a hard time upgrading to an S3 because it basically looks the same, if they made it a bit more special then the decision would be easier.

This is a 30k car with options, do I want people to notice I'm driving it rather than a 1.6 S-line? ofcourse I do, and there's nothing wrong with that.

The main reason to buy an S car is for the engine that lies beneath not for flashy looks, that's the way it is with all S cars, thats the point, that's what Audi is all about, they have BMW and MB for people who want to flaunt their money about.

Simply put, car nuts will be able to tell the difference anyway and for the car-ignorant masses the car would be "'just another Audi" even if the difference between the A3 and S3 was greater.

I think even car nuts would have a hard time telling the difference. Only real audi enthusiasts will know, and perhaps even then they'd have to have a good look.

Those yellow pics in the snow show this off perfectly, it looks like an A3 yet that car is actually an S3.

All current S cars have dual exhausts at the back on either side, except the A3. Even if this one little detail was added it would make the car easily recogniseable from the rear.

Well you are right MJaaFY, it is very conservative ..but I do like it -- it's not supposed to make your pulse race like a CL65 or M6.
