![]() | Re: New Audi S3 Spy Photos! Yes, we should wait before battling it out to see who is correct. Us enthusiasts on the forums usually know information on upcoming models before dealerships and more accurate than dealerships in many cases. Often the dealerships don't know any more than the same rumors we read (if even that), and when Audi or w/e manufacturer does tell them for sure, it's not exactly groundbreaking. I am a fan of yellow on the right cars. There was a nice yellow Ferrari F430 at the auto show last year. This S3 looks good in yellow which I'm guessing is Imola Yellow which is a very nice color. Gallardos seem to be popular in yellow as well. I want a car now because I haven't had one since October when the TT left my hands (so I can't just keep it and wait on another appealing car from Germany that's in my price range). We don't even know that the S3 will come here in this form anyway (or when). Even if it did, I'm guessing it would be at least a year from now. I want that stupid VW R36 we can't stop hearing rumors about. |

All this talk of Haldex coupling more evenly distributing torque front to rear is confusing and amounts, subsequent to my being later enlightened, to speculation only. The Haldex LSC is a limited slip coupling to an existing differential and not a centre differential in itself... I do stand to be corrected though and look forward to being better informed in that event. |

Old news man. Are you Swedish too? Man, my ghast is flabbered. Who would've thought. I imagined you were from Switzerland. Yodelling about the M6 in your lederhosen. Right, now that we've cleared up that Haldex is actually a Swedish innovation and that Swedes are quite proud of this fact, let's get back on topic and stay with the S3 and not national pride. ![]()

Hey come on, those of us who come from smaller countries need all the reasons for national pride we can get, whether it's poking fun at the historical blunders of your neighbours (Sweden, by the way, has been one of those "smaller countries" since losing Finland in the Russo-Swedish War in 1809 ), taking pride in the success of any product that happens to originate from your homeland or eagerly accepting any fun others might be having at your expense as a compliment. ![]() Furthermore, we must take every effort to shamelessly self-promote ourselves and our nationality in all ways possible. I'm Finnish, btw ![]() ------ In a more serious tone, in my opinion the new S3 looks the way it's supposed to - sporty and purposeful, but not overly aggressive. It'll be interesting to see who (if anyone) will be right about the engine output, but also what sort of rims they'll put on it. |

Didn't know you were Finnish, despite your location being listed as Finland. Your English is so good I thought you were an American export or something, like Brian of WCF. Anyhow, the S3 looks ok, though they had better make the lips on the bottom of the bumpers body coloured. Still, it looks a little plain and unassuming..
