The shape isn't nice imo, but the mod to the headlight makes it a 'new' Audi.. but what is happening with the 3 door and sportback? Please don't tell me the next A3 3 door/sport back will look like this...
The head and tail lights looks better than a 1series though, body shape isn't very handsome, looks very VW.

Audi A3 Cabriolet Makes World Debut -- But You Won't See It Here
GYOR, Hungary — The hoopla surrounding the world premiere and production launch here of the 2008 Audi A3 Cabriolet was tempered by the official word on Friday that the German automaker's latest convertible will not come to the U.S.
"The A3 Cabriolet will not come to the USA or Canada, simply because the three-door A3 coupe also isn't certified for the USA," Christian Bokich, Audi of America manager of product and technology communications told Inside Line in an e-mail.
The first compact cabriolet from Audi goes on sale in Europe in the spring with four turbocharged direct injection engine options. They include two gas and two diesel engines. The performance range extends from 105 horsepower to 200 hp. The S tronic dual-clutch gearbox is optional, while a six-speed manual transmission is standard on engine versions from 140 hp upwards.
The four-seater will come with either a semi or fully automatic top. The rear seatbacks can be folded down for better storage. Two trim levels are available: Standard or Sport. The Sport model bundles 17-inch aluminum wheels, a sports suspension that lowers the body by 0.6 inch, a three-spoke leather sports steering wheel and sport seats. An upscale S line exterior package and S line sports package will be available later in 2008.
Prices will be announced later, Audi said.
What this means to you: This is one Audi convertible you'll have to drool over from afar. — Anita Lienert, Correspondent
