I have good news. Rumors are indicating that the next year the GT3 will get a direct injection in addition to a brand new 3.8l engine. That is said to be bumping up the power to 440hp. When PDK comes along the GT3 will possibly gets it 0-100km/h figure to 4 seconds flat, and will be a spectacular car at a very attractive price.

It seem like Porsche is going to be stepping up their game and show the world that they won't let the 911 dynasty be threatened.

Sorry Martin I don't have a concrete source. Have been reading posts at rennteam, 6speed and jabbasworld.

An engine upgrade to 3.8L came as a surprise but the DI injection rumor is very likely. Especially if you consider the fact that the facelifted Cayenne got DI engines. Well the one who lives will get to know.

Many of us Porsche fanatics were hoping and expecting Frankfurt but it will probably be later this year or very very early next year. It will be an 09 model.

Having looked as some of the test mules it seem like Porsche is going to bring back the red strip again which I think is great. The C4S looks fantastic and is one of my all time favorite Porsche models.

Since December 2006, when we caught the first glimpses of a facelifted Porsche 911 on Nurburgring, nearly every other Porsche 911 on Nurburgring has showed a new facelifted shape - and this time it's the 911 Turbo that's gone under the knife! While we'd like to call it a facelift, the lack of visible changes in the front makes the prototype more of a "rear lift." The 997 Turbo, pictured, features re-modelled rear lights with LEDs as well as a new bumper with altered air outlets and exhaust pipes.

The current turbocharged 3.6-liter Boxer six-cylinder engine puts out 480 hp, while the facelift is expected to produce 500 hp thanks to a new direct-injection engine. The 20 hp increase will narrow the gap between the four-wheel driven Turbo and the light-weight 530 bhp rear-wheel driven GT2 that premiered in Frankfurt last week. The facelifted 997 Turbo is also expected to have a ten percent lower fuel consumption. Enjoy the pictures!
