The 993 in its Turbo incarnation was probably the only beautifull 911 ever ... wait add the flatnose.
But all is irelevant, the 911 wasn't intended as a beauty queen and it's quite nice and functional the way it is.

When the Porsche boys made it they must have had some reason to make it like a bloated whale. Made the safety regulations in the various countries it sells in, or maybe aerodynamics, who knows.

Well I respect the fact that others get in over their heads, so respect mine.

Thing is, that given the choice between the guys at Porsche (arguably the most succesfull/best auto company) and a guy "called" Deutsch, I'd side with
the Porsche guys.

Now call me crazy, call me getting over my head, but, I belive the Porsche boys have done a proper job and their product will continue to be a succes.

I think you guys are misunderstanding each other.

Porsche doesn't need to radically alter the 911, it will sell regardless of how it looks, because its a 911. The 996 sold like crazy despite all the changes in traditional elements like air-cooled engines, round headlamps and stretched bodies. Nobody can deny that the 997 is a bad looking vehicle, or that its a bad performing car despite stretched dimensions and technology-loaded frame.
