If all this really happens, it will lessen the disappointment of not driving a new 997 in late 2007, early 2008.

Sounds like this 997 facelift is a significnt one with many features which will actually improve the performance of the C2, C4, C2S and C4S.

Power increase, LSD for AWD models, PDK transmission with launch control, bigger brakes, and retuned stabilty control.

My guess is that new facelfited C2/C4 will have performance close to the pre-facelift C2S/C4S, especially with the PDK transmission.

C2/C4 with PDK will easily be just as quick as C2/C4 MkI.

No need for regrets since they won't be receiving a facelift until next year. This year it's only the Carrera models which will be updated, the Turbo and GT3 are due in spring 2009.
