A thing about inlays - can anyone tell me what are they for? Personally, I won't think of putting inlays into my trim, it creates a 'discordant' effect that I don't particularly fancy. I've always thought people chose to put inlays to show that they can afford to pay the immense costs of moulding different woods/materials together, instead of just a chunk of the same material.
