Indeed, the 7er interior was fresh, modern, stylish, ... when it was launched in 2002, but even after 4 years it retains its modern ambiance! I especially like the combination of those beautiful wood trims with the alu parts, also the alu-colored trim in the doors (independent of the other interior upholstery). As a consequence, I was a bit disappointed when the 5er came with black plastic air vents and less 'rich' wood trims.
But back on topic: absolutely amazing interior The wood texture is very nice (the more glossy wood trims that you find in the 7er, A8 and S-class don't have that rough, 'natural' or organic look). The leather color goes very well with it, and the details are sublime!
BTW, why do we see so little 'Audi Exclusive' or 'Mercedes Designo' editions? Is it for example still possible to have stone inlays in your S or CL? Haven't seen pictures of these trims yet?
