This is a important statement by BMW, and will have huge impact on company's image.

Mind that in the next few year EU's main issue will be energy - and a important part of that issue (not only finding new suppliers of fosile fuels) is also alternative clean energy.

I can see Hydrogen 7 as a major protocol vehicle for the next few years in EU (especially Germany & France - mind that Total is a hydrogen supplier via its gas stations). And since is a new tech I'm sure press will report - not only about hydrogen - but also about the car, gas stations and both companies (BMW & Total) a lot!
