I'm astound too. This facelift has surpassed expectations. GT-R acceleration and lap time figures have been rather inconsistent.

Deep inside I still think the GT-R is a big fat lie OK i know it has proven itself many times but that's what I think based on nothing

The GT-R can match this or better it in performance.

0-100 km/h in 3.4 sec
0-160 km/h in 7.9 sec
0-200 km/h in 12.5 sec
400 meters in 11.6 sec @ 120 mph

We will have to see a head to head match!

So:

GT-R
0-100 km/h in 4.1 sec
0-160 km/h in 8.7 sec
0-200 km/h in 13.3 sec
400 meters in 12.2 sec @ 119 mph
Top Speed: 310 km/h (193 mph)

GT3
0-100 km/h in 4.0 sec
0-160 km/h in 8.5 sec
0-200 km/h in 13.0 sec
400 meters in 12.0 sec @ 120 mph
Top Speed: 312 km/h (194 mph)

Wow their neck in neck!

Edit: Okay back to reality boys and girls. Magazine numbers and test figures and just pure bull shit and do never really apply well in the real world. In the real world you go and test the vehicle yourself and get a direct feel which is faster, see, observe, experiment, race etc. If your going to listen to magazine specs on which car is faster and whatnot by what numbers they choose to post you have a sad little world and do not count with a true opinion. Also magazines may get paid off to publish great numbers, numbers not obtainable. A lot of german bias goes on here, since really 4.1 sec to 100 km/h is some of the worst numbers I have ever seen. We all have seen the GT-R repeatably do 3.2-3.6 sec effortless and easily repeatable launches now we got a german source telling us that it does 4.1, slower than a GT3, which happens to be a Porsche and has less bhp also. Now this may be because the GT-R is not available wit the transmission sport button in Europe or whatnot, since it has become to big of a hustle to Nissan, not backing up their transmissions on warranty if the computer has it on record that you pressed the button? Whatever all I am arguing is do not take these numbers to the death. This is just bullshit marketing and writing whatever the heck they want in there. Also remember that in real life in a race, a 5.0 sec 0-100 km/h car, can get the lead over a 4.0 sec 0-100 km/h car, if the later has the better launch.

That is probably the first time I have seen a 4+ 0-60 time from the GTR. The driver suffering from Germantitis or they probably didn't use the launch control which is now legally available (though they don't call it that). Funny thing is it is consistently possible to get sub 4 0-60 even with out the launch control after Nissan updated the VDC.

^ Sunny, that might be because 0-60 MPH is always 0.1, 0.2 secs faster than 0-100 km/h
