Sometimes even more. 0-60 and 0-62 times can simply not be compared in anyway.

Well if you know the 0-60 time of a car you won't be far off from the 0-100 time

But you can still ot second guess the 0-62 figure based on the 0-62. Gear ratio, power deliver, torque and other variables affect the result. 1-3 tenths o a second might not sound like a big deal but in real life there is quite a difference. Especially when some people are willing to pay thousands of Euros for a car to be 0.1 seconds faster in acceleration. We've all seen drag races between cars of similar power and acceleration, producing very unpredicted results.

There is only a big difference between 0-60mph and 0-100kmh if the car is geared so that it needs a gear change between 60 and 62mph. Only few cars do, usually American ones like Z06, cause 0-60 is the holy grail here. GTR doesn't. It's first is good only till 38mph and second till 67mph.

Check the accelration graph in this test between Z06, GTR and 911 Turbo.

Also in the graoh you can see that with DCT, the shifts are so seamless, it hardly makes a diffrence to the accelration.

Wow just look at the gear ratio of these cars, so different.
