I personally don't care for Rennteam, too much of a pecking order going on there, and RC thinks he's Wendelin Wiedeking, or so he'd like to be. Neither does he have great things to say about much of anything. | |

![]() | Re: Fantastic post about the 911 & 997 Turbo Here are my thoughts as a NEW Porshe owner,(I'm 49 yrs old and never had one, previously had MB S500 bmw750,740,633 etc.)... I just bought the new Carrera 4s in the US for $102k with a few upgrades. I am thrilled with the ride and put the deposit down for the Turbo when it comes out!.I don't remember being that exited about a drive as I am with this thing. I do see that it seems that every Porshe owner (911's) ends up spending upwards of $15,000. tricking out their cars,I am about to do the same with nine adding some Techart wheels ,spoilers and PERFORMANCE options. The car is great but it could be better with the upgrades,I do hope Porshe does read this "fantastic post" and heeds the advise...other cars are getting better but in my oppinion all have the same "look" .Porshe is unique in its looks and handling it should go ahead and BLOW THE COMPETITION AWAY with the new Turbo. ![]() |

You have bought a very nice car and I hope you enjoy driving it. Adding goodies to a car is essential, not only for the sake of buying such an expensive car but also for the resale value. Going after market for lovely Tech art products is a great idea to make your 911 differ from the other ones rolling on the roads. Putting a deposit on the 997TT is a very smart move because the car just a couples of ten thousand geez more expensive than a Carrera 4s with options. I couldn't say it's a cheap upgrade but it's really worth it concidering how much more you get. Have you already placed a deposit for the 99TT, if so when will you take delivery? |

![]() | Re: Fantastic post about the 911 & 997 Turbo Idid put a deposit already although we do not know what the price will be yet...LOL.I dont mind since it seems these cars hold their value, especially when they are Maxed out in factory options. I will take delivery sometime in October/November according to the dealer, they do not have production schedules for the U.S. yet. According to my salesman when they do they will contact me to "design" the car with all the options...color,spoilers,interior etc., i will probably take all(exept for the aereo spoiler,i preffer a more classic look).![]() |
