On lesser A-Classes, FWD doesn't really affect handling or the sporty performance. Only on the B200 Turbo (which is basically a bigger A-Class and also FWD), does FWD affect initial acceleration, at least with the CVT transmission. Never drove a manual B200 Turbo yet. But the torque steer on the B200 Turbo was pretty bad!
