MINI United was fantastic as expected a great weekend , even though I missed the Goodwood festival of Speed and the BMW Open in Munich although the MINI's TV saw to that.
Today is strictly recooperation and relaxation before tomorrow kicks off with 4 meetings in the morning.

It is amazing that the media always in their quest always utilise "Autospies" as the in and out source for everything... I am sorry to say that the F01 7er will not be an enlarged 3er those are yesterday's cues look to the future and it begins with CS .

To answer your question on BMW security personell - I am afraid you would not stand much of a chance if you personally disrupted a photo shoot. As we are very effective. You might even find a well driven X5 personell car reverse at your vehicle at high speed professionally stopping a few inches from your door steel.

Personally I am all for scoop photographs as we need the exposure , What I do despise though is deliberate infiltration on official film and photography shoots. From a distance is OK but running onto our set ups and flashing a camera right in the middle of a segment being filmed and photographed really riles me. Expect to run for your life

Take for instance the M3 Cabrio shoot as the methods used to film this : such as camera trucks , camera helicopters and camera mounted speedbikes all cost money as well as logistics such as closing off public highways again all cost valuable time and money and as we are filming and shooting photography we also have light to consider.

The 1er Coupe photo scoop although good in the long term it added delay to the shooting schedule as there was no choice to load the car back onto a truck and move on. While personell were beating down on somebodies vehicle.

He was lucky to escape with his life...

All that was being said is that it will be more a classicly styled BMW(not retro, but feel) than the E65/66, especially if you take into consideration some of the concept CS's design cues taken from earlier BMW's(shark fin nose, etc.).



So, what, they're going to kill someone over taking photo's of an as-yet released car? I swear if one of those guys ever touched me they'd be the ones going down, not me.... eyes plucked out and all.

Those plastic camo panels are fixed on the body very tightly & strongly with special nails & glue. Not easy to remove!

Same case with the tape. It's a special 3M tape which can be removed only with a steam.

There have already been some attempts to remove the camo, but they failed every time.

BMW know there wackos out there.
