^^ Or maybe even a furrowed brow?!
I imagine and hope that the 'brows are gone, because they've become the automotive design cliché of the decade. Funny, that a design element that stated as a point of ridicule eventually spread like fungus to become the "me too" design cue that defined headlamp design through the middle of this decade.

according to a friend of mine who is working for the company that helps bmw designs its user-interface, the next gen 7er will receive completely redesigned idrive that features 6 keys or so around the controller with force feedback that will be able to completely block. i don't know if it's 100%, so don't flame me if it doesn't turn out to be like this.
on a side note, he mentioned that the next a8 will also have new mmi with redesigned controller, but less detail on this.

Although Autozeitung are discussing the idea for the Z9 Gran Turismo 4dr Coupe , the front end bears some simularities with the approaching F01/F02 7er . Although the grille is wider and the inside element of the grille is deeper with the outside forming a shell. But the headlights and front end of the car is angled this way as BMW want to reinstate the 7er as the core dynamic executive saloon.
Whilst the LWB model will eventually retain a V12 with Turbo charged power, the SWB sedan will forgo this due to the fact that LWB in V12 sells considerably more than the SWB . Of course the discussion of an M-Variant continues but no decision agreed , BMW will satisfy performance car fans with the 745i with a Twin-turbo V8 . BMW want to counter balance their powerful performance diesel equivalents with strong powerful petrol engines.
For the next 7er BMW engineers are very keen on the Maserati Quattroporte it looks fantastic , is fast and sounds great. No surprise then that this is BMW's benchmark for the 745i in it's dynamic handling areas. In it's latest shape the next 7er will lose some bodyfat become less pronounced but still retain some familiar identity thanks to the latest developments BMW are integrating into this car - Every generation of 7er has been the introduction of BMW's cutting edge technology. The F01/F02 will be no different.
