the dead old one in the S has 830 and 517hp..

0-100 times are 4.6 for both

13l/100km vs 14.3 for the S600

PS
I think the S will be able to keep up with this one

I was just going to post the torque figures. The 760i is a bit on the short side which is a pity for 4 board members travelling in one. Bare in mind that the 4.6sec is for 0-60mph in the 7er while the S-class reaches 0-62mph in the same time frame. There is an edge in having producing more torque. But the F02 does win in fuel consumption which is quite important these days, although not a highly decisive factor for anyone even contemplating to buy a V12 behemoth.

^fuel and emissions are irrelevant if you buy a 6litre V12..
so i dont even wanna hear about that..
Its just as irrelevant as cornering G´s for a pickup truck..

Exactly, and I thought BMW will debute the full LED headlights on the 760i as well.

............in other words

S600: 1
760i: 0

To be honest I was expecting some innovation such as incorporated hybrid technology or slightly differently bars in the grill or more advanced head lights.

Give me an S600, 760Li overrated. The front of the car is so dull.

Looks very nice, very sleek. Still need to see it ITL. The front doesn't look as good as the rest of the car though.

S600 looks more technological, more imposing. Both amazing cars! The new A8 better be damn good to keep up with those marvels!

Both the BMW 760i and 760Li have their World Premiere in Shanghai next week along with the World Premiere of the new X5M.
There is a lot more info still to come regarding the 7er later so stay tuned.

Then in May the launch of 2009 : The BMW 5er Gran Turismo , and then June - The BMW X1 Sport Activity Vehicle - which is going nuts on closed off streets in Manhattan later tonight with the PURSUIT team.
