rear looks better in real life..
profile as good as the press shots
FRONT is weak..( kinda surprised)

Is it really a new colour?! The "old" 7-series was also available in such a colour. But the car looks so much better on these pictures - the press photos weren't that good…

Rear end is looks sexy as in the press shots but the front is too soft and anonymous and doesn't match the dynamic front end at all.

In the pictures, the front you have to see from close or high res. In this pic of the front, you don't see the 3D effects and you end up with this, while it looks much much better in real. It's taken from too far away and then it was zoomed or something.
The grille is still camoed as well, showing no chrome....and that caving part in the bumper above the foglights is taped.....I have no worries about this.

A car dont always need an aggressive front , at least not a big luxury car. No, I dont feel the new 7er to have less presence than a A8 or a S-class. The new 7er is growing on me.

I don't know but for some reasons this F01reminds me of the glorious E39

Me too. The C pillar looks a lot like the E39 from some angles (like how it flows into the boot), and the grille is pretty much exactly the same, only 5 sizes bigger.

Yeah, I posted about the E39 similarity long back too before it got lost in the bitching.

When you don't have real sports cars, you feel the need to tack on some race car bumpers on everything, even cars that are supposed to be elegant.
