And that's gotta count for something. Darker colours are best on this car. White is too stark. Gold is like gold has always been: hideous.

So, what will be the text on the LED headlights? "BMW LED Technology" ??? ![]() I'm really not a fan of this design element. What's next? Putting "BMW side-view camera" tag beside the lens? Or "BMW Active Cruise Control Radar" beside radar lens? Jeez! What were they thinking? ![]()

![]() | Re: Official: The New BMW 7 Series Why you people bother to discuss a cd changer for hours is beyond me. From BMW Press realese: "The audio system in the new BMW 7 Series comes as standard with a DVD player, an AUX-In and a USB port. A six-DVD changer, a TV module and a receiver for Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) are also available. The memory capacity available for music files is roughly the same as that of 100 music CDs." |

![]() | Actually, the new F01 is the most BMW since the E38 and the rear end even goes back to the E32. Actually, the new F01 is almost as brave in its Design as the E60 because it did not follow the recent trend of overstyling á la S Class or Audi (A5 and so on, they all look the same...). Here we do not feature huge wheel boxes or bad tuning job LEDs in the front. Just a BMW. With its characteristic front and the L-shaped rear lights. Brave is also the horizontal air intake in the front bumper. It looks horrible. But maybe only because we are so used to sharp edged and sporty looking fronts, vacuum like mouths and grimm looking beasts. But this is not what the 7 Series is about. It is a noble car. With character. And exactly that is what it looks like. A car with character, that does not bother with periodical fashion trends of the design world and therefore is ahead of everyone else. On its own free will. Not todays fashion created the F01. It choose and created its own fashion. It will have a great life. Thank you BMW. Once again, there is a car that is completely a BMW. ![]() |

![]() | Re: Official: The New BMW 7 Series Like someone sad best on this Topic - looks like a facelift of a facelift. Form of seats is a pure shame, like a copy of 2004 Audi A8, i drive knob too- placed at the same spot as A8 and looks damn ugly, like a cheap surcle of plastic ... Hate the seat buttons. Expected much more fine details ... Maybe the car is stunning in RL ... But S class has nothing to worry for now. |

So, a DVD player, AUX-in port, USB port, full iPod / iPhone / iTouch compatibility, full Bluetooth compatibility, 13GB hard disk space for music, and radio receiver (with Sirious in US) are STANDARD. Optional: 6-DVD changer, Digital Radio (DAB). I think there's enough choices & space to listen your favorite music. ![]() ![]()

Facelift of facelift??? ... That's what's evolutionary design all about. The car is all new. Yet is doesn't disconnects from previous model - like E65 did versus the E38. In this respect F01 is definitely a result of an evolutionary approach. It was said many times most new generation of BMWs will be very evolutionary - evolving & refining the existing design theme & path. Mind the current generation as a design experiment - they pushed the design boundaries as far as possible, now they will address the biggest issues. Btw, F01 is the best 7er ever. Much better alternative to S-class W211 than E65 was. Btw, check this out: 4 videos of new 7er: BMW Deutschland : BMW Aktuell ![]()

Hmm I'm not buying into this argument about not locating it in the centre console because of clutter. The dash if far more cluttered then on the S and even the A8. The C manages to integrate a 6 disc changer into the consol while at the same time having the hard disc etc. But I can't be bothered harping on lol. ![]()

,Seriously tho, watching that video now i just noticed, something about the front from a distance reminds me of my old E39 front(and i'm saying that in a good way). A kinda modern interpretation of it
