Come on guys ...you are just looking for things to be picky about now.
That's what I'm saying Rob. I think we are past the point where we are critiquing the design and what not and turned into lets find something to moan about. The bloody glove box is still the same regular size as any other car. What's next, the ashtray is not big enough?

No Rob on a vehicle of this caliber you should not need to fumble around in the glove compartment to load CD's. Maybe 8 years ago this was the standard, but it's moved on now. This should have been integrated into the console.

Believe it or not, people do still use CD's and they would like to be able to change them while on the move. In our X5 the single in dash CD slot gets used 5 times more then the stacker in the glove box. You know why? Because its a pain in the butt to reach over, open the glove box and change a CD.

It may be nit picking, but it is an oversight.

^ I think BMW want to project the 7er as being thoroughly up-to-the-minute. CDs are almost obsolete -- having the CD changer on display unnecessarily clutters the layout of the dash and this would run counter to BMW's apparent desire for clarity and simplicity.

How many discs does the CD stacker hold?

Re: Official: The New BMW 7 Series

^ Thanks

BTW Mr. Merc, I'm not arguing with you, I take your point on this. However, if you look, it is not actually in the glove compartment ...it is behind a sliding panel in the dash ....not so inconvenient.

Yeah thank god for that, because luxury is after all about ease of use. That is unless the slot in the center console is strictly for Satnav and firmware updates.

The tail lights look wicked when they are on. As for the "BMW dynamic xeon tag on the head lights, it's as tacky as Mercedes's optional 7G tronic badge.
