| Re: Official: The New BMW 7 Series Apart from the lit curved CELIS strips the rear does not resemble LS at all. You'll see it in the real life. The rear lights are a great mix of E32 & FL E65. The similar shape was seen on BMW way before Lexus put it on LS. The only thing that is similar to Lexus are the lit curved CELIS strips. But that's like saying the FL S-class does resemble Porsche, Audi etc. due having LED strip in the front bumper.  Or for that matter: like saying all the cars with side indicator integrated in the side mirror look the same. Not! **** CELIS strips are definitely BMW characteristics - just like CELLIS corona rings in the headlight cluster. Debuted on FL E39 5er. Till current LS no other car featured such light tech ... So, accusing BMW of copying Lexus is a bit beyond good taste. It's like saying BMW is copying Infiniti, Opel or even Citroen with sharper Hofmeister kink. If something is copied (eg. the kink, quad headlights. etc) it has been done in the past - a long time ago. |
