Look at those two cheap metal trusses that connects the suspension strut towers to the front member. Absolutely awful!!!!!!! They're there to provide strength to the front crash structure.

Mercedes would never do that. They would find a more elegant solution.
I don't think it's there to strengthen the crash structure, but more to help driving dynamics by stiffening the front end.

Hmm, it doesn't me bother too much because it has a rational purpose ....the Phantom DHC has similar trusses.

thats a dual strutt brace, its not to provide strength for a front crash. Most performance cars use them (it was also standard on the E46 M3). If I am not mistaken it is used to maintain a tight connection with the Chassis and in some way it is used to tighten up the suspension as well.

Merc's dont use them - thats why they dont have good driving dynamics

In this pic, i don't mind the oversized grille at all, i rather think it looks great:

As someone already said: When you see this face in your mirror, you'll know what's approaching...

I thought BMW would come up with something more elegant. Instead of two pressed steel rods............................................

At least those in the RR look bespoke and expensive.

What is DPC and how does it differ from the E-diff. Anyone know where I could read more about the E-diff and how it works?

TIA
