I hated it first, then like the new design and by now it absolutely has grown on me!! Looks stunning. I hope, that the same will happen with the 7-series. We have to wait - when the first photos of test drive etc will be available, maybe some will change their mind about it…

What works: Great proportions:tiny front overhang, cab-backward styling, planted & muscular stance, good ratio of wheel size to sheetmetal. Certain details: Headlight shape and elements, interesting front valance with nifty aluminium insert, bold swage line, DLO shape. What doesn't work: Certain other details: Front kidney grill shape is too big making it look a bit pig-nosed - oink! Rear taillights are big with a whole lot of red: would prefer to see more of a balance with some clear lens detailing. Quite a weird crease design in the bonnet. Interior: the colour combo is just off - a haphazard mix of camel brown (dashtop and door caps), burnt walnut (wood inserts), black (dashboard inserts, steering wheel, switchgear), aluminium (other switch gear and lever), and finally beige (lower dash seats and door inserts). This is a lost opportunity to bring something more fluid and minimalist looking without eschewing the luxury features. Lacks harmony.

You're right, that does seem to be blue.....oh-ho! I liked that when I first sat in the VW Golf IV.....BMW is supposed to be orange inside...... I really wonder how this will look in the night.

| Re: Official: The New BMW 7 Series I like the car, it seems nice and as it is no longer the ultimate high end of the BMW hierarchy I think it does a good job. Not really a fan of this type of cars, Im actually more interested in the new 3-series than in this. Even more interested in the FL of the current 3-series than I am of this...
