I think it depends on the market. There are lot of 3rd world countries, where nav doesn't make sense to have and is not standard or not even available even in high end models.

Exactly. The big screen is standard here in my country. Never seen that tiny thing before. Not so good looking indeed.
Imo the 7er needs to standard have iDrive in the back seat and two big screens for the back passengers, let alone the big display at front (the biggest in any car btw )

Der BMW 7er erhält einen Allradantrieb

BMW erweitert zum Modelljahr 2010 die Antriebspalette der 7er-Baureihe um eine Allradantriebs-Option. So können künftig der BMW 750i und der BMW 750 Li mit xDrive-Antrieb geordert werden.

Im BMW 750i xDrive und im BMW 750Li xDrive soll der permanente, elektronisch gesteuerte Allradantrieb für eine in jeder Fahrsituation bedarfsgerechte Verteilung der vom 4,4-Liter-V8 gelieferten 407 PS und 600 Nm Drehmoment sorgen.

Allradantrieb mit fahrdynamischer Auslegung
Wie schon in den anderen BMW-Modellen mit Allradantrieb sorgt auch im BMW 7er ein Verteilergetriebe mit elektronisch gesteuerter Lamellenkupplung für die Verteilung der Antriebskraft an die Achsen.
Dank einer fahrdynamik-orientierten Auslegung des xDrive sollen die Luxuslimousinen ein neutrales Kurvenfahrverhalten mit höchster Spurstabilität aufweisen. Bei Kurvenfahrten wird das Antriebsmoment zu einem höheren Anteil an die Hinterachse geleitet, um die Wendigkeit des Fahrzeugs zu steigern und Untersteuern zu unterbinden. Dabei orientiert sich die Steuerung des xDrive an dem vom Fahrer vorgegebenen Lenkwinkel. Während bei konstanter Geradeausfahrt die Kraft im Verhältnis 40:60 zwischen den Vorder- und den Hinterrädern verteilt wird, gelangen in Kurven bis zu 80 Prozent des Antriebsmoments an die Hinterachse.
Der Allradantrieb bleibt ausschließlich den 7er-Topmodellen vorbehalten. Preise für die Allradversionen des BMW 750i wurden noch nicht genannt. Für die Allradoption in der 3er- und der 5er-Baureihe berechnet BMW jeweils 2.600 Euro. Der Grundpreis für den 750i liegt bei 91.000 Euro, der 750 Li mit langem Radstand wird ab 95.000 Euro angeboten.

Mit der neuen Allradoption schließt BMW auf die Wettbewerber wie Audi, Mercedes, VW und Lexus auf, die in ihren Top-Modellen schon seit längerem Allradantriebe anbieten.

Thanks, small summary:

front wheels 40%, rear wheels 60%, up to 80% to the back wheels possible.

7er will have the most complete line-up in it's history;
AWD, RWD, 245 hp - 544 hp, from I6 to V12 all turbo, diesel/gasoline/hybrid, even an M pack...wow....

The news came with yesterday's announcement on the new 735d that BMW would make the 750i and 750Li availible with X-Drive for 2010.

This is to compete with the S-class 4-matic and A8 Quattro.

BMW officials said a while ago initially 750(L)i, and the "bigger" diesel model would get xDrive option. So, the 750(L)i and the 740(L)d.

Not yet available on the 730(L)d, 740(L)i & 760(L)i.
