I know what you mean about the cramped interior.. BMW is known for that.. you really sit IN the car to control it`s mechanicals. The S-Class seems more space oriented.. to me the interior has a more prestigius look to it than the 7er, that just my opinion.. I also think I like the Audi interior better. 7er look like a big 3-Series.. ![]() ![]() ![]() The overall quality remainds to be seen. I predict that the 09 7er won`t beat the S-Class in the ratings.. I might be in for a surprise though. As far as looks go to me the 7er is nice.. looks better than the pre-facelifted S.. The F/L S might change things! it looks really cool so far. I`m going to hold final judgements when the tape finally comes off, can`t wait!

Great build quality, and I like it more then the interior of S-Class or Audi A8! The 7-series doesn't feel like spacy like the one of the W221, but it's more "user-friendly", in my opinion. Like the center console, that is well integrated and all buttons are at the right place. Also the new i-Drive system is much easier to use then before.

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Official: The New BMW 7 Series I think that the matter is that BMW had a good quality on the E65, but the interior design was poor, like some parts of the current W221 (that low part of the central console, without any button or something else is crap). Now BMW has return to the all days, and has made a more A8-ish interior, so, compared to the actual W221, it clearly looks much better. Then we have the exterior design, wich is again for the F01. A standard W221 comes with no visible tailpipes, with tha aged tail lights and with a bit bland front. The FL W221 seems to have changed this, and it will have sqaure tail pipes, proper tail lights design, and a more actual desing. The FL S-Class with the AMG pack will be close if not above the F01 in terms of exterior design. But talking about interior I think Mercedes should make the same that BMW and return to the buttons days, and making a proper central console design. What do you think guys?. |

I`ll be the judge of that when I see it in the metal. (It`s all a matter of personal preference which never ends an arguement. Owners reviews will tell us the differences about full quality). I can still tell you I like the design of the S-Class interior better from what I see on paper. fair enough?

The difference with a 3er is pretty big. It's really no comparison to be honest.
