I didn't want to say, that the 7er is uncomfortable. But it is just normal, that a car with 21' is more uncomfortable to drive, then a car with 19'! Especially on longer corrugations (you'll find them on the autobahn), the suspension will do a better job, when the car is only fitted with 19' - I mean, the "scrolling" comfort will be much better.
The 19' will also not run after every rutting on the road.

That's what I mean…not that the 7er is uncomfortable, but less lovely with 21' rims. Hope you understand what I mean.

I do, but on autobahn, you won't notice any difference... On bumpy and bad roads yes, but on atobahn not.

Don't want to end in a "you will" or "you will not" discussion. But you really notice the difference – or better: I notice a one.

It's just a extremely difference, if our E-Class has its 18' summertyres on or the 17' wintertyres. You definitely feel the plus of comfort, when you have the wintertyres on. It also is more composed on the autobahn. Nevertheless the roadholding is not that good at higher speeds. You definitely feel, that the car becomes more "squishy" in fast driven curves. But the car doesn't run after every rutting with those smaller tyres - which makes it "more fluid" on the road.

Re: Official: The New BMW 7 Series

Extreme difference? Hardly. Ok, maybe i've exaggerated with "any difference", but i usually drive on 18" and now i've had to put my 17" and winter tires since i was in Switzerland and they don't allow you to cross the border if you don't have them. On autobahns in Italy, Swiss, Germany & Austria i didn't notice any difference. And i have a friend that drives E65 on 22" saying the same when he puts his 18" winter tires.

It depends on the roads my friend, that's all i'm saying. But long trips on autobahn will not make "extreme difference", that's for sure.

Re: Official: The New BMW 7 Series

Saw the F01/2 for the first time today and was completely blown away!! Amazing car, and if its a precursor of things to come for the future of BMW car design I'm very excited! I got a nice glossy brochure specific to the F01/2 as well. Gear up and get ready for an LA '08 Autoshow super picture post tomorrow!!!

Hmmm... I can already feel a B.I.G difference between 18" and 19" But whatever
