Even the 730i. The 3,0l NA was too weak for such a big car. A slightly detuned 335i engine with 286hp/400Nm will be a great base version. Probably as fast as previous 740i with 306hp V8 (if not slightly faster) and more economical. The new A8 will also have base 3,0TFSI with 290hp/420Nm and 7er needs something to be able to compete. I reckon both new 730i (if with twinturbo 286hp/400nm) and A8 3,0TFSI will be much more successful than previous 730i (NA) and A8 3,2FSI. Cars will be still that attainable, just as (or even more) economical and much faster (faster than hp numbers would indicate, you know 335i and its results). | |
