^aint much more you can do really.. as the function of the button is the same no matter what MB..
But yeah its still diffrent enough for the eye..

True. And BMW cutting cost by cheaply using the same visible interior components in the 7er makes it look less prestigious and exclusive. Neither is it any better that the design of the head lights are near identical to the ones on the previous model as well as the new entry level SUV, the X1. Hope BMW will do a better job with the next generation 7-series.

AMG has different 4 engines in current lineup instead of just two for M

Well If you look closely, the S Class and the C Class share the same hazard light button. Totally unacceptable, I'd sell sell my S Class for this monstrosity. And for that matter the S Class and the E65 BMW 7 Series share the same interior design. Totally unacceptable I want a Mercedes designed car...

No problem with that since it's not a component that's visible in the cabin. They share more underlaying components as well.
