Do you really believe that? ...I don't know if that is the case or not.

Still, I am amazed at just how ordinary the interior looks. They even threw in nasty little wood pieces ...just to keep the Americans happy I guess

wood = luxury apparently.

The new Audi will, once again, show everyone how its done.
The new Audi - especially the interior - will look like all Audis interior. I don't think that there will be sth. new then.
Problem is, that those discussions become to much sentimental - design is a factor of personal taste - you like or you don't like it. And hey, I love the 7-series interior. Modern and with design elements of the old E38 ones. Great!!! But that's my personal sense - so please no discussion about this!!!

I don't find it boring - but I think everyone knows your point of view, my point of view and the point of view of every member now. Every additional discussion would come to the same success again - and then we discuss again - with a different theme, but the result, well probably the same then before. I miss the real effectiveness of this…

Re: Official: The New BMW 7 Series

Oh wow. So this is it?

Honestly, I'm not too enthuastic about the entirety of this design. That being said, I find very little about the design which offends me.

My biggest complaint of the design would have to b e the rear tail lamps, which as far as I'm concerned, are not only two sizes too big but a poorly fitted design for the rear-end of the vehicle. It gives the vehicle a very bulky and exaggerated rear-end...which is of course common in many of today's styles. That particular aspect of the vehicle I am less than pleased with, but am not offended per se.

Overall, I must admit that I find myself wanting (and expecting) more than what has been presented here (not that we hadn't already seen a gazillion spy pictures prior, I know). I find the majority of the design to be unimaginative, uninspiring and above all else, rather bloated.

^^ Though, I actually find this to be the case with most vehicles on sale today - so I hope that no one shrieks a "BMW Hater" towards me for this one.

Nevertheless, I'll wait until I see it in the flesh for final judgement.

Re: Official: The New BMW 7 Series

I love the interior - the exterior I am EXTREMELY disappointed with. Where is the character, the avantgarde edginess and sense of gravitas that BMW can create? That rear is a complete let down for me, it look like a melting Honda Civic / C-Class / Korean combination :-(

The front is bland..

OK ...

I am sorry I was blunt with you but isn't this kind of discussion what this whole forum is about?

if people don't want to participate ...they don't have to.

Well, you're right… … a forum is about discussing things… …have to set up the white flag.
