I believe the engine in the Alpina B7 is based on an older BMW 4.4 V8 (displacement: 4398 cc, probably N62B44) and not the new N63B44 (4395 cc displacement).

In statistical terms(4398 vs 4395)- they have the same displacement.
In architectural term, the difference between the N62 and the N63 is the use of direct injection or the lack thereof, or the use of valvetronic or not.

The N64 uses direct injection with turbochargers.

l don't know what to think anymore, sometimes l find my self so bored looking at F01 and sometimes l think it's the pritiest car in class...
