i think MB (and Audi) fans are coping just fine on this forum... | No no no... BMW is more cauthelous with its new 7er than Merc with the new E-Class. Have in mind that we saw the F01 FEP 2 weeks ago, having its debut on July, and the MB E-Class has shown its nose (FEP) above a month or two ago.
We have already seen the E-Class interior almost uncovered, and we still have not seen the F01 interior, and, again, there is a diference of 6 months between the two cars, so it´s only that BMW covers its cars until the near end.
And of course, Scott and EnI should say what their bosses tell them to say, not always what we want them to say.
But, btw, could Scotty take a pic of the F01 uncovered at his hotel or may we should continue trying to know how the car is gonna look like?. (Of course the pic doesñny have to show the entire car, only a part we actually kno ) | | | | | Enthusiast

Maybe someone is in the car-park of this hotel photographing an undisguised 7er? | If you could kindly hint at which hotel you are at, and what time the car is going to be there, I'll be happy to come out and take some photo's . Its 7.34am right now, so the car has to be sitting around while you still sleep. Must keep eyes peeled. Unfortunately Auckland is a really big place. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to Gene For This Useful Post: | | | Fanatic

Good luck my friend! It's like you're talking to yourself with these guys. Tried to get more info from them when the car was in NY, thinking they were point me to the right direction, but oh boy was I wrong. What I don't get is, if you're allowed to tell the WORLD where the car is, why can't you at least PM someone that's requesting more info on the location of the car or the shoot? Instead, all we get is this "BMW Creative Marketing" BS. And then at the end you come back and rub it in.
Now I understand why some people are upset with this so called "Creative Marketing" Team, and I've just joined them. | | | | | GCZ's High Court

Lol, i don't think there's too much "XYZ Marketing" type that includes reveling top secrets to the WORLD, especially not in automotive world and in cases like this one.
Anyhow, there was a thread where members could discuss about Eni & Scott and BMW CM role at GCZ, but that's not this thread. OK?

That is why the C-Class has big, user-friendly rotative buttons, but the S these (beautiful, you have to reckon) switches: the A/C is even better and does not require any intervention. They're here just in case. | Well, I can assure you there can be a lot of use for the controls. Especially for people who live in areas where there are "distinctive" four seasons. And when you have to use the controls you would want it to be as easy and undistracting as possible, right? I believe with this detail Mercedes put aesthetics before ergonomics. Thin metallic curvy line of buttons flows better with the S-Class center console design. | | | | | Contributor

I will make use of my 23 dollars wifi in this establishment before I jump in a shower (They have Red Bull in New Zealand , right?)
I am on a budget and I cannot have interuptions . If you see the car , good snap away ,but never come onto the set because that is when I really lose the plot because my time is literally blown out the water.
And the car has to be hidden from view immediately and that wastes time. And time is of the essence because the director gets the shots I evaluate them , load them to BMW's server and my superiors evaluate them, we video conference thoughts and ideas , and then we execute them till we come to a forgone conclusion that the car looks good on film.
And today I am in work-mode which means I want this done quickly as I want to get the 7er locked and commence location work for the Z4 having sent my lovely assistant to Australia ( I want footage and photographs of blue skies , sun , sea and coastal roads) to oversee some areas that will fit within my ideas for the Z4.
If you see the car , good snap away from the distance , but never follow the car or invade the set . Besides I dont want you to see the car until July . | | | | | Devotee

Warot, I believe thats the brake release botton behind the controller, whatever the case, it`s a bad spot. | sorry to bring it up way late but there are no buttons if I'm thinking what you are thinking. That's a slot to put your cellphone or whatever
I personally think the layout is perfect for me as everything is in reach when I'm in my normal driving position. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to warot For This Useful Post: | | | Advocate

I personally think the layout is perfect for me as everything is in reach when I'm in my normal driving position. | This is the new iDrive Controller, hitting the market with F01/02 and later this year in E90/91 LCI. Additionally to this new iDrive interface, there will be a scroll wheel on the steering wheel, making it a lot easier to flip through long lists and menues. This can be seen in the pic of the dashboard mock up model a few pages back. | | | | | The Following 5 Users Say Thank You to E38_E30 For This Useful Post: | | |
