Love the stance of the car. Very sleek and powerful. Obviously this is a photoshop but. Kidneys always look much better in person, known fact. Headlights won't look so fake and are obviously different as per EnI's post. Not a fan of that front bumper but. It's rubbish. WHy do half a design. Hope it is much better.
I have a feeling the headlights will be alot more sleeker...

So you have seen car. How can you judge the car off this photoshop. I really dislike how people judge a car before it has even been seen. Some random made his photoshop. That is not how the car looks. Anyone can look at the spyshots and see that many things are wrong.
And this car already looks better then the non AMG S Class to me anyway. S Class looks good but its design has a different presence as seen in the black spyshots a few pages back. There is something their that is beyond the S Class to my eyes. Have to wait and see the final product but. All is looking good.

I think the air intakes are a bit biger, with the fogs being triangular, not circular, the kidney grille will have more chrome, and the front lights will resemble more to the previous PS, the Pace Car.

"I am completly with you. Seeing theese renders, and if the car has a front treatment like this, we can only spect a bland car, boring and soft, insted of the agresive and the CS touches we all expected.
Scott, EnI, please tell us if the car is gonna be so elegant and so unsporty."
let me repeat myself one more time , What you are looking at is the artists interpretations of what the car will look like. As of now they can only guess because we now add extra padding to key details to keep you guessing and debating. Remember this the 7er the technological flagship of BMW (for now) The 7er always has to provide an alternative to the "sensible"choice in the segment which is the S-Klasse.
Even though you reckon the car does not look sporty where it is, is where you cannot see until you get behind the wheel. Although BMW design is highly regarded as "Avantagarde" or "Individual" The reports claim this car is too bland , restrained even , but since 2001 when the E65 appeared we at BMW reckon you have come accustomed to the avantagarde , individual look of BMW that you no longer see the challenging appearance and accept the design of our products as everyday, shock tactics only work until they become the everyday. Surprisingly the E65 still looks great and current today even in pre-facelift terms. One thing I can honestly say is that BMW's current products have managed to maintain their design presence even though some are coming up to the end of their lives. Who still does not turn their heads when they see a Z4 or the ultra modern 6er Coupe Which is nothing but beautiful.
The Concept CS provides many cues that feature in the next 7er as I said the 7er is the CS inflated minus some cues that will be individual to the 7er. To understand the shock tactics of BMW design you have to look at the rivals and see the influence of change not respectively by BMW design possibly more the BMW world-wide sales sheets. And that is why you have begun to see the move to a more avantgarde style of design. When we hire models to drive our cars or showcase them in our media campaigns they are normally dressed by the worlds fashion houses and it is interesting to hear the comparisons between clothing, industrial and car design. In fact even BMW designers as influences turn to fashion to get across the influence in their car designs. For example the upcoming 1er Coupe preformance twins show a return to cloth , or half leather seat featuring the classic BMW checked race flag pattern , even M-stripes and White character lines - Which the interior design says it was influenced by this designer.
One of the reson why Chris Bangle is respected highly within BMW Group is his ability to connect the dots between any aspect of design and many of the Bangle proteges have followed his lead , You would be surprised how many architects , fashion designers , industrial and product design come to BMW to share their thoughts with the design dept.
I remember the vocals of the anti-BMW design in which it was not co-herent enough and that the details do not match this line here or there. I also remember a Opel designer discuss not very approvingly of the rear raised bootlid that earned the name "Bangle Butt" In which you have to look at the new Opel Insignia bootlid to see - hmmm... a "Bangle Butt"
Once you see this car in real life or stripped of it's disguise you will see how imposing it is . Brutally beautiful is one term to describe it . The new 7er will capture the essence of BMW - performance , dynamics , agility , technology , quality , challenging current-day design and class-leading efficiency. After the 7er will be the next Z4 (your Christmas Gift) and although an evolution of the current model it will offer far more dynamic form than expected.
Welcome to the future although for BMW the future began in 2001. And has been in a course of progression ever since.

^no diss to you scott..but your taste is very diffrent from mine..
you see the 6er as nothing but beautiful..
so i must take the words Brutally beautiful about the new 7er with a pinch of salt..
PS
On the other hand..im sure it will look better than the PS shots we have seen so far
