Remember FEP prototypes of X6? Or even X5? Or even 3er coupe & cabrio (incl M3)? Do you? A lot of people complained about the design ... but when the camo was removed, and people saw the cars in person a vast majority was blown away. It's the same case with F01. Yet I'm bit sick & tired to advocate for this all over again. It's not pure propaganda but real facts. Wait till the camo is removed. Roof line? Yes, it's a typical BMW roof line- so are the door cutlines. Yet this time roof line (F01) is much more coupeish than on E65! PS: check the pics from the shooting in Melbourne - where the side lines can be clearly seen (without tape), and you can see how sharp they are. The car is evolutionary but not as much as you think. Wait till the camo is completely gone. I promised you you won't be disappointed. The car is really instantly recognized as E65 successor yet featuring some very fresh design solutions. It's not just a "FL like redesign". And it was said this new generation would be all about refining the design, not bringing a new revolution. You can't revolutionized the design in every generation. BMW bets on every secend generation as revolutionary one - design wise. |

![]() | Re: F01 / F01 BMW 7er - Spy Pics & Info Part IV (first FEP pics incl.!!!) Just for the record. I didn't really drool all over the 3er coupe and the X5. They are nice yet could've been much better. Still I hear allot of people complaining about the X5 being not much different that its predecessor. Thanks anyways. I ll be waiting for this car, just to see what it brings, but not anxiously as i used to be. One more thing here, am not talking as a fan boy or something, but am talking as a potential buyer. Regards. |

The shark is back in BMW design if the side profile picture is any clue. I'm not going to get pumped or deflated until July when we're suppose to the new 7 for the first time. In hindsight I like the E38 better than the marketing tool referred to as the E65/66, so if this is suppose to be a contemporary follow-up to the E38 I'm elated. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: F01 / F01 BMW 7er - Spy Pics & Info Part IV (first FEP pics incl.!!!) I am with EnI, the car seems to be much more coupeish than the actual one. But EnI, there are some things quite strange in this FEP, compared with the shots toke in Melbourne. firts of all is the grille. The grille seems smaller and less wide, it´s more like the current model than CS. And then are the headlamps, how they will be?, cause i thought i knew how they would look like, but seeing this FEP iám a bit confused. |

The grille looks smaller since chromed frame is missing! Also head-on shot will reveal the grille size much better than these pics. Wait for a few more days. ![]() Headlights: an evolution of FL E65 headlights - yet more angular, narrower & aggressive. But the general shape is kind a similar - with a touch of X6. Tail lights will remain typical L-shape. CS design influence: mind that CS was a concept. A bit exaggerated features. But ... "new 8er" is coming ... With strong CS influence, and more dynamic & daring styling than 7er. Luxury sedan vs luxury GT / coupe. There has to be difference. And it will be. | |
